How to use exchange rates in trade work
Currency conversion is useful when comparing supplier quotations, freight charges, customs values, and overseas payments. The calculator uses a public reference rate, so it should be treated as a planning number rather than a guaranteed settlement rate.
Actual buying and selling rates can differ because banks, card processors, remittance providers, and freight forwarders apply spreads or update their rate tables at different times. For contracts, confirm whether the agreed rate is based on invoice date, payment date, customs declaration date, or another stated benchmark.
